A Hands-On Design Process, From Floor to Fabric

While many brands rely on digital design programs and fast-track tech, my approach is deeply personal and hands-on. I start each collection the old-fashioned way—pen to paper, fabric in hand, sprawled out on the floor surrounded by scraps, notes, and inspiration pulled from nature, history, and life itself.

When it’s time to turn ideas into reality, I head to India, where I work directly with our talented artisan tailors and ethical manufacturing team. Together, we build prototypes by hand using whatever fabrics, remnants, or offcuts we have available. Nothing is wasted. Every scrap becomes part of the puzzle. We test and tweak our size-inclusive patterns on real bodies until each piece feels just right—comfortable, flattering, and truly wearable.

Why it Matters

Designing clothing this way isn’t the quickest route—but it’s the most meaningful. Every stitch holds a story. Every collection reflects collaboration, creativity, and care. It’s how we honour the earth, our artisans, and you—our community.

At Ancient Earth, we believe in fashion that feels good, fits real life, and fuels a better future.
