Our History

Our journey began in the front room of a family home, nestled on the edge of South Wales’ lush green farmland—where daffodils and wildflowers line the roads each spring, and the soft rhythm of nature hums gently in the background of busy days.

It was here that a mother, raising three (and soon four) small children, far from her own family on the other side of the world, felt the stirrings of a quiet calling. Amid the beautiful chaos of early motherhood, she longed for something more—a space to create, connect, and share her passion for thoughtful, soulful design with the world.

With nap times and late nights as her window, she began small—learning slowly, messy, alive; sketch by sketch—channelling her love for history, the natural world, and feminine strength into the early pieces. What started as a personal project for a bit of fun slowly rippled outward. A like-minded community began to form, and before long, that community became a little team.

We grew with care, learning through experience, making mistakes, finding clarity, and always staying close to the essence of what this was all meant to be: something both grounded and wild, elegant and untamed, soft and strong—like the women we design for.

From our humble beginnings of one-size pieces made from recycled and repurposed fabrics, we’ve blossomed into wider collections, working with natural fibres and meaningful silhouettes. Our network of collaborators now spans from our Welsh base to creative hearts across the globe—illustrators, photographers, printers, and makers who each bring their own magic to the vision.

And one day, we looked up and realised how far we’d come. It was time for a new name. A new chapter.

So, in late 2023, Ancient Earth was born—a name that speaks to our roots and our growth, our reverence for nature and spirit, and the ever-evolving path we walk with our community by our side.
